The views were amazing!
The only issue we had was with our WiFi. It didn't work in our room or patio.
The hotel is located at an exquisite location and is a gem. The pool is on a cliff overlooking the ocean and is actually quite big and has lots of cosy comfortable stretchers around it both in the sun and in the shade. We had a room with a wonderful balcony overlooking the ocean and for only a little extra charge we were able to have our breakfast there. The breakfast itself was a treat, with cereal, yoghurts, fresh fruit salad, good italian coffee, juice, eggs etc. And to make it even better: the staff was really helpful and kind with good restaurant tips for alll the places we visited. And there's free parking. If and when I go back this would be my first choice.
Location; beautiful views; very nice staff and management; very clean rooms and other hotel areas; very convenient parking facility; veru nice attention from all employees; great environment
Restaurant services are too formal, even for breakfast. It would be nicer if instead of having sevral waiters serving the small number of options in breakfast it could be provided a blend of waiters and self service style. We were disapointed when we knew we should pay in separate for ham and chesse in the breakfast.
The hotel staff was outstanding and extremely friendly. The water views from the balcony during breakfast remarkably beautiful. The pool area, although many steps down, was worth the trip. However, the negative with this hotel is that it is too far to walk to town. Also, because of this you are forced to have dinner there in the evening or take a bus or taxi to town. We found the food too expensive there. In fact twice that of the restaurants in town which also gave you more for the money than the hotel. So we went to town every evening than pay those prices. Breakfast was included and that was merely the basics. Anymore and you were forced to pay more.
The views and the staff.
One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Fantastic service, great food, wonderful cocktails ...There is a nice pool amd good access to the sea.
The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking! We loved enjoying a glass of wine on our personal lanai, as well as from the cliffside patio area outside the bar. The breakfast was excellent and the staff helpful, courteous, engaging and fun. Internet access was helpful.
Loved the location. Best view ever. A bit tricky getting there though with the winding roads and the crazy drivers!!! Loved the pool and the access to the ocean to swim.
The pool closed too early. It would have been nice to swim after six seeing as dinner isn't til late. The aircon wasn't very efficient. The breakfast wasn't very enjoyable.
Great pool by the Med. Beautiful views. Super balcony with junior suite. Real independent Italian hotel. Just what we wanted Have to taxi to restaurants. Dangerous walking along the coast road
A breathtakingly, beautiful location - The 25 meter swimming pool is suitable for swimming laps. It was never crowded or noisy. People read and talked and sometimes children played. As you walk out the front entrance of the hotel, there are some steps (296!) down the Via dei Marini thru the little fisherman's village of Conca dei Marini. There, on the shore, are 3 restaurants mostly frequented by Italian people - a stark contrast to the city of Amalfi. There was, of course, the 296 steps back up but one got used to it - good after-dinner exercise. From the swimming pool to the rocky beach, there were also 192 steps, but going back up was a feast. Everytime you stopped for a breath, you were gited with the most incredible view of the sea and the rock formations that drop into it. The rocky beach has a ladder into the deep sea so you could just get in and swim in the blue, clear water. In the morning, a fisherman usually was there with lots of bread and a net to catch the local fish, Occhiata - very good! Would I go back? Yes, I could swim in the sea and the pool and read and actually be with the local people. Furthermore, everyone at the hotel was warm and kind and helpful - the people at the front desk, housekeeping, the waiters in the restaurant and the attendants at the pool.....Hopefully, I didn't forget someone!
What I think could improve? The hotel provides shampoo and small bars of soap, but no shower gel or lotion. The closest shops are in Amalfi. I would rather they added a small charge and, for convenience, provided such supplies. If not, perhaps they could just stock them and guests could purchase what they need I.E. sun screen, bath gel etc. without a trip to Amalfi. Also, on the breakfast menu, it is perhaps a good idea to state that, not only fruit salad, but fresh fruit is available. That being said, everyone was incredibly accommodating and incredibly warm and nice. These are just little things, but even when things are almost perfect, one or two small adjustments can make them even better. We will return.
The location is amazing, although you need to step down to acces the beach, it is worth every step you need to clim back. Fantastic view, good parking area and comfortable rooms
Maybe there could be more options for breakfast, but that is just a small detail
what a lovely experience...friends recommended Hotel belvedere and we booked three nights at this wonderful hotel...this was my very first time to the Amalifi Coast...hotel belvedere DID NOT DISAPPOINT...thank you staff for a memorable stay....i would highly recommend your hotel....the staff was "over the top" to please.... thank you "pepe"
would like to have the option for coffee in the dining room after dinner
The staff in the hotel restaurant, bar and on reception were absolutely delightful ... nothing was too much trouble for them, they were always two steps ahead. The views of the Amalfi Coast were stunning.
It would have been really useful to have more information readily available in the rooms regarding places to visit, travel arrangements, room service and so on, although if you asked the information was provided. Although the hotel and its staff were delightful, we were unable to find the other restaurants that were highlighted on the internet. It seems that they are 300 steps down on the beach, and were therefore inaccessible to travellers who were less than fit.
Very friendly staff and very nice and clean place. Terraces overlooking the ocean is breathtaking.
-The pool -The pool -The pool -The view -Most of the staff
The dining room was decorated like a bad wedding reception. This just made me want to eat elsewhere. Pool staff not very friendly. Barman was like something out of the 60s. slow service. Just painful.Just get me a beer.....NOW.
The owner, Antonio Barbaro, was exceptional. My daughter had to go to the emergency room in Amalfi and Mr. Barbaro had his staff accompany us and stay with us the 4 hours we were at the er. His staff facilitated our interaction with the er doctors as the doctors did not speak much English and we spoke no Italian. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Belvedere. Everyone was fantastic!
